Internship Programme Overview

The CCBSA Internship Programme is a structured 12-month initiative aimed at providing unemployed South African graduates with hands-on work experience and professional development. Interns will contribute to CCBSA’s business operations while gaining exposure to different areas of the business. They will also enhance their skills, and increasing their employability.​

Available Internship Opportunities

1. Procurement Intern

  • Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Role: Assist in managing supply chain processes, work closely with suppliers, and ensure procurement strategies align with business needs.​

2. Risk Intern

  • Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Role: Support the identification, analysis, and management of potential business risks, ensuring compliance and mitigating operational risks.​

3. Analytics and Insights Intern

  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Role: Utilise data and analytics tools to gather insights that inform business strategies and decisions.​

4. Remuneration and Benefits Intern

  • Qualifications: 3-year HR or Finance Diploma or Degree.
  • Role: Assist in developing and administering compensation and benefits programmes, including payroll management and salary structures.​

5. Learning & Development Intern

  • Qualifications: Relevant HR Degree or Diploma. A Registered ODETDP (Occupational Directed Education and Training Program) Practitioner certification is advantageous.
  • Role: Support CCBSA’s Learning and Development efforts, including training material development and facilitating national training programmes.​

Additional Internship Opportunities

In-Service Trainee:

  • Qualifications: Studying towards Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Technology, or a related qualification.
  • Role: Gain practical exposure required to complete your qualification.

Supply Chain Intern

  • Location: Highveld, Gauteng
  • Qualifications: Grade 12 with Maths or Maths Literacy (40%), Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Management.
  • Role: Ensure compliance with legislation, manage stakeholders and contractors, and oversee safety, health, and environmental procedures.

Fleet Intern

  • Qualifications: Grade 12 with 40% in English, Maths or Maths Literacy, Qualified Diesel Mechanic or Fitter.
  • Role: Manage fleet operations, ensure compliance with legislation, and perform administrative duties. ​

Logistics Intern

  • Qualifications: Grade 12 with Maths or Maths Literacy (minimum 40%), Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Transportation.
  • Role: Participate in a 12-month learnership programme starting in April 2026, gaining experience in logistics operations.

Sales Graduate / Internship Programme

  • Location: East London
  • Qualifications: Post-matric qualification in a relevant commercial field (Sales & Marketing, Accounting, Business Management, etc.).
  • Role: Understand and implement sales principles, facilitate order-taking processes, and monitor merchandising standards. ​
